Football fans will be jamming into the Phoenix Convention Center for the opening of the NFL Experience on Saturday.
NFL Vice President of Events Mary Pat Augenthaler says the 850,000 square foot interactive football theme park has something for everyone.
“You can field a punt, you can catch a pass, you can watch an NFL movie and you can get an autograph from some NFL players,” said Augenthaler.
Those who come out can see and do all sorts of football-related activities.
“You can make your own penalty flag, you can get under the hood of an instant replay machine, you can look at all of the things from the Hall of Fame that are actually here and curated. We have actual busts from the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio,” Augenthaler said.
You can also see a lot of “behind the scenes” stuff.
“You can walk around an NFL locker room that has all 32 teams represented,” Augenthaler said. “We have the NFL Network set that is here, so you can watch live television shows on the NFL Network or be a part of that audience if you’re nearby.”
Tickets are $35 for adults and $20 for kids. Augenthaler said there are discount tickets available at www.superbowl.com.
The NFL Experience will be open through Super Bowl weekend, but Augenthaler said it might be a good idea to go this weekend because the lines are expected to be shorter.
