PHOENIX — Thousands of spectators are expected to line the streets of central Phoenix on Monday for the Valley’s largest Veterans Day Parade.
It’s the 16th year of the parade, which has grown from 50 entries to more than 100.
“Today is a very special day for our veterans,” said Paula Pedene, a Navy veteran and parade coordinator. “It’s wonderful to honor them and thank them for their service.”
Marching bands, military trucks, and floats will be showcased during the parade, which will start off with a flyover by World War II planes.
The event will start at 11 a.m. It begins near Central and Bethany Home Road, and ends at Seventh Street and Indian School Road.
