PHOENIX — It was a rough Sunday for Allegiant Air passengers in Mesa and Las Vegas because of mechanical issues.
Hundreds of fliers were stuck at Phoenix Mesa Gateway Airport, while in Las Vegas Mike Shaldjian of Phoenix was stranded for five hours.
“It was crazy. People all over the floor and dead tired.”
And he wasn’t pleased with Allegiant’s handling of the situation.
“The airline offered us warm water and soda as compensation for our inconvenience … and Allegiant was terrible about updating the flight situation,” Shaldjian said.
“We were first told the problem stemmed from a log aboard the airplane, that logs had not been updated properly. Then we were told there were mechanical issues with the airplane and they had to bring in a new one.
“It was just a comedy of errors.”
