Main Street Minute: Retail chain hiring for Chandler supercenter

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. These stories air each weekday on KTAR at 7:27 a.m.

• Walmart is hiring for at least 150 spots at its soon-to-open supercenter near Chandler Fashion Center. Starting wage is $9 an hour.

• Specialized Loans Servicing has 40 openings at its Tempe office near 48th Street and Southern Avenue. A job fair runs at the site Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

• Construction is underway in Gilbert on a five-story Hampton Inn and Suites at Higley Road and Inverness Avenue. Plans call for 100 rooms and a fall opening.
