KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, businesses that are opening and events across the community. Each weekday these stories air on KTAR at 7:27 a.m. More information can be found below.
• Shine up the resume. And if it isn’t, you can get it tuned up at a job fair Monday at the Radisson Hotel Phoenix Airport. A coast-to-coast job fair takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jobs are available in a wide range of business, marketing, retail and customer-service fields.
• Another job fair is being held Monday afternoon from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in downtown Phoenix. Event management company Pro-Em is hiring in advance of a few large-scale events — the upcoming football and basketball seasons at Arizona State University, and the Waste Management Phoenix Open golf tournament. Experienced security guards are in demand. The hiring event will be held at the company’s Phoenix location at 1450 E. Grant St.
• A national catering company has set up its latest shop in Phoenix. Corporate Caterers cooks up breakfast and lunch in seven states. In each location, the food providers offer a regional specialty — in Phoenix, it’s a breakfast soft taco bar.
