Main Street Minute: Help for job-hunting moms

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, businesses that are opening and events across the community. Each weekday these stories air on KTAR at 7:27 a.m. More information can be found below:
• There’s a career training event in Chandler on Thursday specifically for moms. Get My Mom a Job targets mothers who have been out of work for long periods of time. Career experts will help participants with resumes and interview tactics, among other things. The event is free; registration must be made in advance.
• It’s been a busy month of openings for Firehouse Subs. A third sandwich shop has opened at Lindsay and McKellips roads in Mesa. Another three will open this summer.
• Gila River Casinos is hiring for several Valley casinos. bingo callers, maintenance workers and groundskeepers are just a few of the open positions.
