Phoenix Police looking for vehicle-bicycle collision suspect

Phoenix Police officers were called to the area of North 27th Avenue and West Bethany Home road early Saturday morning in a response to a vehicle-bicycle traffic collision. When police arrived on the scene, they found the 51-year-old victim lying in the roadway. The victim was pronounced dead at a local hospital due to injuries.
According to witnesses, the victim’s bicycle was hit by 1999-2006 metallic black GMC Sierra pickup truck with 20-24 inch chrome rims. The suspect fled the area southbound on North 27th Avenue after the collision.
Detectives from the Phoenix Police Vehicular Crimes Unit were on the scene and have determined that the suspect’s vehicle will have damage to the left front end and is missing the left front headlamp as a result of the collision.
