Main Street Minute: Sub shop donating day’s sales to Valley hospital

• Eating a sub sandwich can help Phoenix Children’s Hospital. All two dozen Jersey Mike’s locations in the Valley will donate 100 percent of Wednesday’s sales to the hospital as it wraps up its month of giving.
• There’s a big job fair set Wednesday in the East Valley. The career fair runs from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Mesa Convention Center. Local employers will be on hand hiring for dozens of jobs in industries like banking, healthcare, education and technology.
• The Maricopa Skill Center is hosting a re-entry job fair and expo Wednesday near 16th Street and Buckeye Road. Workshops on networking run from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. The job fair starts at 11 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m. Attendees need to bring IDs and resumes. Dress appropriately.
