PHOENIX — In a list of top 10 destinations on the rise, Prescott, Ariz. recently ranked third, according to TripAdvisor.com.
Prescott is a town boasting a rich history with lots of culture. Visitors can take a dip in Watson Lake or walk down the historic Whiskey Row, a full block of historic bars and saloons.
“Nestled in the conifer forests of the Bradshaw Mountains, Prescott is a historic city boasting much in the way of adventure and culture,” the website said.
“Discover the history of the Old West in the city’s museums, historic railways and the Pioneer Home Cemetery, where ‘Big Nose Kate’ Elder, wife of Doc Holiday, found her final resting place.”
The town is also known for its great selection of antiques and extensive American Indian exhibits.
