In Forbes magazine’s annual list of best places to retire, two Arizona cities — Mesa and Tucson — ranked in the top 25.
The business magazine evaluated and ranked metropolitan areas using a variety of factors including health care, biking and walking facilities, transportation, crime rates and cost of living.
Mesa, home to several baseball spring training ballparks — headlined by the Chicago Cubs’ brand-new Sloan Field — has a low cost of living and a growing economy, Forbes found.
Tucson, home to the University of Arizona, is a small but lively college town that boasts a high rating for bicycling.
The list is not ranked best to worst, but other cities featured include Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Bowling Green, Kentucky, Athens, Georgia, and Lexington, Kentucky.
