Motorcycle-involved crash backs up Interstate 17 north of Phoenix

PHOENIX — A motorcycle-involved crash closed northbound lanes of Interstate 17 north of Phoenix on Friday. The interstate was closed at milepost 239, approximately four miles south of Black Canyon City. It has since reopened, but traffic is still congested for miles.
Commuters can use State Route 87 through Payson, or a combination of US 60 and State Route 89 through Prescott to travel north and bypass the highway closure.
Southbound lanes of I-17 are clear for motorists.
