PHOENIX — President Barack Obama was in Phoenix on Friday to meet with leaders and veterans about the state of Veterans Affairs health care.

The president landed at 11:25 a.m. at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, where he briefly spoke with Gov. Doug Ducey before greeting about 60 supporters on the runway.

Obama then jumped into his car and the motorcade departed the airport for Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center, where he was met by hundreds of protesters.
