A gold-colored minivan is double-parked at a Walmart south of Phoenix. It has been there for weeks. Locals have begun calling the vehicle “Goldie,” and posing with it in selfies.
Goldie has swept the local Interwebs, attracting nearly 1,000 Facebook likes and hundreds of photos taken in the Maricopa, Arizona store parking lot.
A sticker reading #copasgoldenvan was plastered to the back windshield of the Oldsmobile van and all kinds of people have taken all kinds of photos with it.
Cheerleading squads have posed with Goldie, memes have been inspired by it, football fans have mocked its Dallas Cowboys bumper sticker and others have celebrated their birthday with it.
Goldie has also attracted the attention of officials — there appeared to be a parking ticket on it in a Facebook photo, posted by a group dedicated to the minivan.
