PHOENIX — A woman who was struck by a vehicle in Tucson and died the following day has been identified as a University of Arizona professor.
Tucson television station KGUN 9 reports Sharon Garrison, 70, died from her injuries Saturday.
She was walking with a friend near North Constitution Drive and East Constitution Place when she was hit by a vehicle at a bend in the road shortly before 5 p.m. Friday.
The driver reportedly remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
Garrison taught corporate finance, banking and real estate courses at UA.
“She was an exemplary faculty member in the Eller College, and an integral part of our undergraduate finance program. Her tremendous spirit and dedication will be sorely missed,” the Eller College of Management said in a statement.
