Cupid’s day has come and gone, so how do you keep the magic alive with that special someone? Or maybe you’re just looking for fun things to do — with a notable lack of pink frills and doilies?
KTAR.com has your list of five things to do after Valentine’s Day:
Cash in on discounted candy
The day after Valentine’s day is just like the day after Halloween, because all of the candy will be on sale — except you might feel a little embarrassed about picking up tons of chocolate hearts in your local supermarket.
But hey, it’ll be on sale!
Go hiking before it gets too hot
Arizonans know there is precious little time left to enjoy the beautiful “winter” weather we have here in the Valley of the Sun — so why not get outdoors? There are dozens of hiking trails just outside the city, and many are dog-friendly in case your pooch was actually your Valentine. Check some of them out here!
Learn to cook
With all of those hours you’ll be spending outdoors in the next couple of months, you’re going to be hungry. And if you managed to snag a special someone on Valentine’s Day, learning to cook might be a good way to keep them around! Phoenix has several recreational cooking classes available at little cost to you.
See a rockin’ show
Love concerts? How about music festivals? The Phoenix New Times has them all mapped out for you on their concert calendar, from Pot of Gold music festival to Festiv-Alt!
Catch a baseball game
Everyone knows one of the best times of the year in Arizona is Spring Training! Pitchers and catchers report this week, and the season begins soon — and the lawn seats at Talking Stick Fields aren’t to be missed if you’re an Arizona Diamondbacks fan.
