PHOENIX — Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz, stars of the History Channel documentary series “American Pickers,” will head to Arizona in March, WMICentral.com reported.
The duo are in pursuit of leads about “specifically interesting characters with interesting items and lots of them,” Derik Boik, casting associate producer of Cineflix Productions, said.
Producers of the show contacted Show Low Chamber of Commerce Director Jimmie Applegate with their intentions of visiting the area, according to the website.
“Hitting back roads from coast to coast, the two men earn a living by restoring forgotten relics to their former glory, transforming one person’s trash into another’s treasure,” the show’s biography stated. “American Pickers follows them as they scour the country for hidden gems in junkyards, basements, garages and barns, meeting quirky characters and hearing their amazing stories.”
