16-year-old boy takes van on joyride, crashes into house

Phoenix Fire Department units are investigating a crash that occurred Friday night around 8:44 p.m.
A van had reportedly crashed into a house at 8815 south 51st Drive in Laveen, Ariz. at a high rate of speed. Phoenix Fire arrived on scene to find the full-size van in the vacant house, and extricated the driver, a 16-year-old male.
The driver was transported to a local trauma center in serious but stable condition.
