PHOENIX — Believe it or not, Valentine’s Day is just nine days away. And if you haven’t made your dinner reservations yet, you’d better hurry.

Arizona Restaurant Association President Steve Chucri said that there are a lot of romantic restaurants to choose from in the Valley.

“Any white tablecloth restaurant is good,” Chucri said. “Binkley’s is always well-known. Jeff Beckett at Beckett’s Table. Chef-driven restaurants are always popular on Valentine’s Day.”

But he said that if you don’t have a reservation yet, it’s getting a little too close for comfort.

“I just ran into a colleague that begged me to help her get a reservation for her and her husband because she’s just running out of luck,” said Chucri.

With Valentine’s Day on a Saturday this year, restaurants are getting booked fast. Chucri said to plan a memorable romantic evening, you may have to be flexible.

“Maybe make a little bit of a later reservation, say 8 o’clock instead of 7,” Chucri suggested. “Or earlier. Make a 5 o’clock reservation, and then go see a movie afterward.”

He said the best thing to do is to make your plans as soon as possible.

We want to hear from you.
