According Homessnacks.net, 45 percent of American households now subscribe to some sort of online streaming service like Netflix, Hulu or Amazon.
It’s a trend that continues to climb as more and more people are cutting the cord and doing away with ever increasing cable bills for channels they don’t watch.
Binge watching is becoming popular on the American lexicon, as more people discover they can spend an entire weekend watching the latest season of a Netflix original series such as “House of Cards.”
Then again, maybe they want to go back in time and watch shows from their childhood such as “Cheers” or “M*A*S*H.”
Either way, the folks at HomeSnack looked at what people are streaming per state by looking at the Google trends to see which programs were being Googled the most. The reason for this, is because streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu and Amazon don’t release the exact results on a state-by-state basis.
So what’s the most watched streaming show in Arizona? The FX biker crime drama “Sons of Anarchy” is the leader in Arizona.
Meanwhile, our neighbors to the west in California tend to like “Childrens Hospital,” while our neighbors to the east in New Mexico are fans of “Breaking Bad.”
