PHOENIX — A major storm that slammed California is taking aim at Arizona’s high country and that’s great news for skiers.
Jason Stratton with Arizona Snowbowl near Flagstaff said the storm was expected to dump the largest amount of snow on the slopes so far this season.
“Right now we’re skiing on great manmade snow and this help from mother nature will just improve those conditions,” Stratton said.
“The cold temperatures coming with this storm will help our crews continue to make manmade snow.”
The resort is only partially open but he said the anticipated foot of snow could help open up all of the ski runs soon.
