Prescott university among best in the nation in return on investment

Getting a college education is expensive, but the long-term benefit of getting a post-secondary education is the return on investment one receives over the course of a career.

For students of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) in Prescott, that return on investment is substantial.

ERAU cracked AffordableCollegeOnline.org‘s “Million Dollar ROI” rankings for 2014, a list of the top one percent of U.S. private colleges whose graduates out-earn those without college degrees by at least $1 million during their careers.

“With so much national awareness and sensitivity concerning the cost of a college education, we are very pleased with this recognition of the value of the investment students make in themselves at Embry-Riddle,” Prescott Campus Dean of Admissions Bryan Dougherty said in a release.

According to the study, the 30-year net return on investment for ERAU grads is $1.122 million.
