PHOENIX — He may not have a name but one puppy has got a seriously good agent.
A 9-week-old Golden Retriever was the pick of the litter to star in GoDaddy’s upcoming Super Bowl commercial with popular spokeswoman Danica Patrick.
The web-hosting giant based in Scottsdale has tossed the task of naming the dog to the public.

“We’ve had a lot of fun brainstorming ideas and we’ve even registered a few domain names for the little guy, but we just haven’t landed on one we think is just right, so we thought, why not see what the public can come up with for our little 10 pounds of cute,” said company spokesman Barb Rechterman in a statement.
People can suggest names to the social-media only contest using #GoDaddyPuppy. Puppy has to be named by Thursday when filming starts.
If the little looker falters on the set, he’s got a pro to look to for advice. Patrick has been featured in more GoDaddy spots than any other celebrity — 14, including the upcoming puppy ad.
The ads generally draw a lot of attention and are well-received.
The Super Bowl kicks off Feb. 1 at Glendale’s University of Phoenix Stadium.
