Water main break forces Phoenix-area high school to close

PHOENIX — A high school in a Phoenix suburb was shuttered Tuesday after a water main break, the Tempe Union High School District said in a release.

The break stopped the flow of water to McClintock High School near Broadway Road and McClintock Drive. Students were dismissed just before noon.

The school had limited access to restrooms and distributed bottled water to students.

The the break would take several hours to repair and classes are scheduled to resume Wednesday.
