It’s holiday-office-party-time of the year. Here are a few tips that could help you still have a job come Monday.
“Employees need to recognize that number one, that the workplace policies still apply,” said Chris Mason, a valley attorney who specializes in employment and workplace issues for Polsinelli.
Number two they need to dress appropriately, he said.
“And Number 3 they need to not over drink…things like that don’t belong at holiday parties,” Mason said.
Employers can help by providing some sort of transportation service, using drink tickets to control alcohol consumption or sending a company email before the party to remind employees about office policies during work functions, Mason said.
