PHOENIX — Arizona costume shops are catering more to same-sex couples this Halloween.
Since a federal judge struck down Arizona’s ban on gay marriage earlier this month, Halloween shop owners have been gearing up for an influx of same-sex couples.
“When we buy, we buy looking at all of that kind of thing so we try to reach out and kind of have a little bit of everything for everybody,” Easly Fun Shop President Debbie Easly said.
The Phoenix-based costume shop owner said they have been selling a lot of same-sex couple costumes this October.
“We can do lots of boy-boy costumes and girl-girl costumes too because we get all couples,” she said.
Easly said it has been fun putting together more couples costumes for Halloween.
“It has always been easy to put Batman with Robin or Catwoman and Batgirl together,” she said.
