Main Street Minute: Shake Shack opens in Arizona

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. These stories air each weekday on KTAR at 7:27 a.m.

• A popular New York-based burger joint open its first Arizona location Friday. Shake Shack makes its debut at Scottsdale Fashion Square at 11 a.m. The company plans to open two more Valley locations this year.

• More than 50 Arizona school districts will take part in an education job fair Saturday. The event runs from 9 a.m. until noon at the University of Phoenix’s main campus near Interstate 10 and Broadway Road in Tempe.

• The Washington Elementary School District is holding a teacher job and interview fair Saturday for the 2016-2017 school year. It runs from 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Palo Verde Middle School near 39th and Northern avenues.
