PHOENIX — Looking to live the life of luxury? Look no further: A Phoenix-area home has recently been named Best In American Living 2015’s Home of the Year.
The 5,385 square-foot, single-story home, nicknamed Refined Desert Haven, is located in the private community of Mirabel in Scottsdale.
The house, built by Luster Custom Homes and Remodeling, also won two Best in American Living Awards, including a platinum award in the custom home category.
Company owner Tanner Luster said the home is located on a golf course and featured great views.
“You can see out into the Valley and the sunsets and the views, those are totally unobscured,” Luster said.
The outdoor patio features a fire pit and an infinity-edge pool. The house also has four bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms. Luster said one of the nicer features of the home is the open floor plan.
“You really get a feel that you’re in the living room or you’re in the dining room or you’re in the kitchen without necessarily walls being blocked off or feeling like you’re in a part of the home without experience other parts,” Luster said.
Luster said the interiors of the home were created by Kim Scodro Interiors. Luster said the BALA judges really liked the scalloped arches as well as the refined details of the house.
“The design is extremely well-thought out and it truly maximizes the beauty of Mirabel golf course and the surrounding environment in an effortless way,” Luster said.
