Tempe police: Hit-and-run victim is in serious condition

PHOENIX — A hit-and-run in Tempe on Thursday night has left one pedestrian in serious condition.
Tempe Police Sgt. Mike Pooley said the accident occurred near Scottsdale Road and Weber Drive at approximately 8:30 p.m. The victim is a male in his late 20s. He also has a prosthetic leg. He was not crossing Scottsdale Road at a crosswalk.
Police are on the lookout for a red 2007 Dodge Durango, which Pooley said slowed down after impact then left the scene. The vehicle will have damage to the hood.
