PRESCOTT, Ariz. — Authorities say a Peoria man missing from a
Prescott-area campground since late last month has been found alive and in good
Prescott police say 24-year-old Tyler Fillis was located about 10 a.m. Tuesday,
walking in a wooded area off of Copper Basin Road west of Prescott.
They say Fillis was disoriented and wasn’t sure how he came to be in that area.
Police say Fillis’ vehicle hasn’t been located, but they don’t believe anyone
else was involved in the case.
He left his Peoria home on July 29 and drove to Prescott in his station wagon.
He was last seen at the campground on July 30 or July 31st.
Police say Fillis has been released to his father.
Fillis’ family told authorities he suffers from a mental illness.
