Police searching for machete-toting robbers

Phoenix police are asking for information from the public on an armed robbery which took place last month at a Shell gas station.

Around 2:40 a.m. on July 1, two young men — both 16-18 years old, Hispanic and approximately 5-foot-5, 120 pounds — entered a gas station near 54th Avenue and Indian School road demanding money from the attendant. One of the suspects was armed with a machete and followed the gas station employee behind the counter.

After obtaining the money, the suspects fled on foot.
