PHOENIX — Remember the story of little Danny Nickerson?
He’s the 5-year-old with an inoperable brain tumor. He turned 6 last Friday, and all he wanted for his birthday were birthday cards with his name on them, because he gets lonely sometimes, due to no longer attending school.
Well, despite being known for their violent antics, the pro wrestling community is actually full of big, muscular, teary-eyed softies when it comes to kids.
On July 20, a bunch of wrestlers — like WCW and WWE champ Bill Goldberg — and Ric Flair, Bret Hart, Edge and Zeus — were in Tucson, Ariz., for an event.
They took time out of their schedules to make a funny and touching video and sign a huge birthday card for Danny, telling him to “stay strong.”
