Arizona cities among the least recession-recovered in US

PHOENIX — Several cities in Arizona are still struggling to recover from the Great Recession that hit our country in 2007.
According to a study by WalletHub, nine Arizona cities ranked low on their list for 2014’s Most & Least Recession-Recovered Cities in the nation.
The 150 largest U.S. cities were compared, and Arizona ranked as follows:
91. Chandler
92. Gilbert
96. Scottsdale
123. Peoria
135. Mesa
138. Phoenix
141. Tempe
142. Glendale
143. Tucson
WalletHub was able to examine the economic evolution of each city using 18 characteristics, such as the inflow of college-educated workers to the number of new businesses.
Unemployment rates and home price appreciation were also considered.
