Severe afternoon thunderstorms hit parts of the Valley

PHOENIX — Two severe thunderstorms hit parts of the Valley late Sunday afternoon, including Chandler, Mesa, Gilbert, Fountain Hills and Tempe.
The storms also brought about winds ranging from 15 to 20 miles per hour.
Multiple outages were reported during the storm. According to ABC15.com, APS and SRP responded to as many as 7,000 combined customers who were without power.
According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, drivers on the US 60 and Loop 202 San Tan were experiencing low visibility and wet roads because of the rain.
Additionally, the National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Maricopa, Ariz. and Pinal, Ariz. from 9:03 p.m. to 9:48 p.m..
