TUCSON, Ariz. — Saguaro National Park is hosting a July 4 naturalization
ceremony for new citizens to take the oath of allegiance.
Officials at the park located on the outskirts of Tucson say the ceremony
Friday will involve 20 people from 20 countries being sworn in as U.S. citizens.
Federal Magistrate Judge Bruce Macdonald will preside over the ceremony that
park officials say is a partnership between the National Park Service and the
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
The ceremony is being held at 10 a.m. in the Red Hills Visitor Center
auditorium in the park’s Tucson Mountain District west of Tucson.
