Arizona rep. calls for Eric Holder’s impeachment over immigration concerns

Jun 4, 2014, 1:17 PM | Updated: 1:17 pm

PHOENIX — An Arizona congressman is calling for the impeachment of U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder after it was revealed the Department of Homeland Safety is leaving illegal immigrants at Arizona bus stops.

U.S. Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) said Holder is breaking the law. Gosar has joined a growing number of congressmen calling for the impeachment of Holder.

“They’re processing a lot of these immigrants in Texas and shipping them here,” he said. “It’s mind-defying. It’s a waste of resources and complicit with the smuggling of illegal immigrants across state lines.”

Gosar said many of the migrants are hearing about the Obama administration’s plan of amnesty for illegal immigrants.

“The message being sent to illegal immigrants is that it’s time to come to America,” he said. “It’s time to get tough and make sure people stay home and know that coming here illegally is not a possibility.”

Gosar said the Obama administration is picking a fight with Arizona deliberately and putting lives at risk by dumping illegal immigrants at Phoenix and Tucson bus stops in these extreme temperatures, many of them mothers with young children.
