PHOENIX — Applicants to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Trusted Traveler Program can now submit their paperwork in Tucson.
The new acceptance location was opened to reduce a growing backlog at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.
“There is a two-month waiting list to come in and get signed up, so I can imagine people from Phoenix coming down,” said Tucson Mayor Jonathan Rothschild.
The Trusted Traveler Program allows travelers to pass through borders with Mexico and Canada in an expedited fashion via designated lanes and kiosks.
