PHOENIX — The Arizona Cardinals will host a special send-off rally Saturday at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport ahead of the team’s NFC Championship Game against the Carolina Panthers.
The rally will be headlined by multiple speakers, including Cardinals President Michael Bidwill, GM Steve Keim and head coach Bruce Arians, as well as multiple players.
Several politicians — Gov. Doug Ducey, Sen. John McCain and Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton — will also be there to wish the team well.
Of course, the Arizona Cardinals cheerleaders and team mascot Big Red will also be there to keep the good times rolling.
The entire shebang will be hosted by Cardinals radio analyst and Arizona Sports 98.7 FM host Ron Wolfley and sideline reporter Paul Calvisi.
The rally will be held below the Terminal 3 Sky Train station at 10 a.m. Gates for the rally will open one hour prior.
Fans can park in any airport parking area — standard rates will apply — and either walk or use the Sky Train to get to the gathering. They can also park and ride the light rail to the 44th and Washington streets stop, which connects to the Sky Train.
A word to the wise: Certain items — purses larger than a clutch, coolers, flags, banners, backpacks, luggage, computer and camera bags, cinch bags, and fanny packs — will not be allowed, so leave them in the car or at home.
For those who can’t make it and want to cheer the team on, be sure to tune in to Arizona Sports 98.7 FM on Sunday to hear the game. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:40 p.m. Arizona time.
