PHOENIX — It was a rather short day at the office for 20 workers at a computer chip processing company in the Valley Sunday.
According to KPHO.com, the workers fled FlipChip International’s facility, located between University Drive and 36th Street, after a chemical reaction triggered a fire.
Employees safely evacuated the building shortly after 10:30 a.m., said Phoenix fire spokesman Tony Muir.
Muir said the incident was contained to the area and the sprinkler system went off as it is supposed to.
At this time, the fire is still under investigation.
