Man with Arizona ties gets 4 life terms for killings in NY

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) — One of three Jamaican men convicted of murdering three others in New York has been sentenced to four consecutive life prison terms.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says Friday that 44-year-old Andrew Wright is the last of the defendants to be sentenced following the 2010 drug-related killings in a suburban Rochester apartment.

Co-defendants Richard Anderson and Aston Johnson received consecutive life terms in March.

Prosecutors say the group traveled from Phoenix, Ariz., to western New York to kill the three victims because they believed they were cheating them out of proceeds from a multi-state marijuana smuggling ring.

The bodies of Robert Moncriffe, Christopher Green and Mark Wisdom were found shot inside their Greece apartment.
