PHOENIX — A Phoenix man was arrested with over 22 pounds of methamphetamine after an alleged smuggling attempt Saturday.
Felipe Camacho, 25, was stopped at the San Luis Port of Entry with over $65,000 worth of meth, after a narcotics detection dog alerted the presence of drugs. Twenty-two packages of drugs were found in three of the four doors of a Nissan sedan.
Both the drugs and vehicle were seized. Camacho was “turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations,” according to a press release.
