Country Thunder welcomes record first-day audience

PHOENIX — There was a record number of cowboys and girls at the opening of Country Thunder on Thursday.
The music extravaganza, held in Florence, Ariz., opened with more than 24,000 “cowboy boot-wearin’ and country music-lovin’ fans.”
The festival features plenty of the top acts in country music, including Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert and the Band Perry. It also has an on-site bar, 18 food booths and plenty of retail booths, along with a post-concert party space.
