Two people safely rescued from Valley mountain

PHOENIX — Two hikers in their 60s were safely rescued from a north Valley trail Tuesday, the Scottsdale Fire Department said.
Authorities received a 911 call about 2:30 p.m. alerting them to the hikers. They were located more than three miles up the Gateway Trail in north Scottsdale and were disoriented and out of water.
Both patients were flown to safety. One was taken to Scottsdale Healthcare Shea for evaluation.
Neither hiker has been identified.
