PHOENIX — An Arizona state trooper on his motorcycle was injured Thursday in a three-vehicle collision on a busy Phoenix freeway Thursday morning.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety said the trooper was in serious condition at Banner University Medical Center but the injuries weren’t life-threatening.
The 10-year veteran was on his motorcycle, lights on, parked on the shoulder on westbound Interstate 10 near 43rd Avenue, when a minivan struck him.
A small car was also involved.
There were no other injuries.
One of the vehicles had damage to its rear and the other’s front end was damaged and its windshield was on an embankment.
