PHOENIX — U.S. Customs and Border Protection said officers seized multiple
pounds of methamphetamine over the weekend worth more than $300,000 at ports of
entry in Nogales.

Authorities said officers found 41 pounds of the drug Friday hidden in a
truck carrying eggplants.

Saturday, CBP said its officers found more than 16 pounds of methamphetamine
hidden in a car trying to cross from Mexico into the U.S. Later, officers found more than 29 pounds of methamphetamine hidden in a vehicle.

That same day, authorities seized about seven pounds of the drug found strapped
to a Tucson man’s body. Sunday, a Mexican woman was stopped who had more than
eight pounds of methamphetamine strapped to her body.
