PHOENIX — The World Team failed to complete its FAI-sanctioned world record jump by Friday’s deadline in Eloy, the organization said in a press release.
According to World Team, the ‘Fly It Forward’ jump was almost completed, however it fell short by two skydivers that were unable to link up.
The jump was part of a 20th year anniversary celebration honoring the World Team, which started ‘Fly It Forward’ in Slovakia back in 1994.
In 1994, the initial record was only a single 222-way jump, however Friday’s attempt was aimed at completing two 221-way formations in one dive.
Only two skydivers were unable to link, making the final attempt an unofficial 2-point 219-way.
