PHOENIX — A Glendale, Ariz. woman was arrested Thursday on having suspicion of having a sexual relationship with a young teenager.
“We were alerted to an inappropriate and potentially sexual relationship between our suspect and a teenage male Glendale resident who’s actually under the age of 15,” said Glendale Police Sgt. Jay O’Neil.
It is believed that 23-year-old Anna Areola-Hernandez found the boy using various social media outlets, including Snapchat, Facebook and Tango. She used false names and told teens that she was 15, police said.
Areola-Hernandez was charged with three counts each of sexual conduct with a minor, child molestation, unlawful age misrepresentation and adult posing as a minor for sexual contact.
Anyone with additional information on these crimes or believe their child may have been a victim is asked to contact either the Glendale Police Department at (623) 930-3000 or Silent Witness at (480) WITNESS.
