PHOENIX — When it comes to being Bible-minded, the Phoenix area apparently leaves a lot to be desired.
According to americanbible.org, Phoenix was barely in the top 100 list for cities that are Bible-minded. It came in at 93.
“An analysis of interaction with and views of the Bible continues to help us evaluate the Bible landscape in America,” says Geoffrey Morin, Chief Communication Officer of American Bible Society. “To help people engage with the [Bible], we need to understand where people are starting from.”
Overall, the city deemed most Bible-minded was Chattanooga, Tenn., followed by Birmingham, Ala. Roanoke, Va., Springfiled, Miss. and Shreveport, LA, respectively.
The worst Bible-minded city was Providence, RI. Albany, NY, Boston, San Francisco and Cedar Rapids, Iowa made up the bottom five.
