PHOENIX — Bond is set at $100,000 for a transient accused in the 2011
killing of a woman in Phoenix.
Darren Keith Longoria had his initial appearance Wednesday in Maricopa County
The 38-year-old Longoria was arrested last month at a homeless camp in Salem,
Ore., and extradited Tuesday to Phoenix.
He’s being held on suspicion of second-degree murder and doesn’t have a lawyer
Longoria is scheduled to be arraigned Monday.
A warrant for his arrest was issued in January.
Phoenix police say Longoria is suspected in the killing of 45-year-old Lynette
Fraley, who was found dead in a wheelchair inside an abandoned apartment on Jan.
Detectives learned Longoria had been living with the victim and physical and
forensic evidence lead to developing probable cause for his arrest.
