PHOENIX — The Mesa Police Department is investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred early Saturday evening at an apartment complex near Alma School Road and Main Street.
The stabbing is believed to be the result of an altercation between two adult males. However, according to Steve Berry, a spokesperson with the Mesa PD, several people were outside the complex at the time of the initial altercation between two adult males, and that has slowed down the investigation process.
From initial dialogue with eyewitnesses, Berry told said that a lead has been established but not located at this time.
It is unknown if the two men had any prior relationship.
Police said the victim died at the scene. They have not released the identities of the victim or any possible suspects.
