Phoenix police shoot, kill man with sword

PHOENIX — Phoenix Police shot and killed a man who pulled out a sword during a confrontation early Thursday morning near the Arizona State Fairgrounds.
Police shut down the area around 19th Avenue and Interstate 10 to investigate.
The unidentified man had been sitting in his car with its hood up. Officers approached the car and when the occupant got out to meet them, police said he pulled out a large sword.
Three officers Tasered him, but he remained standing. Officers finally shot him.
